1. You "farm" Hedva to get a better grade.
2. You get pissed because they don't allow teamspeak during exams.
3. You stand in front of Ullman yelling "WTB References!"
4. You then proceed to yell "Will pay for someone to run me to Sem 8!"
5. You feel cheated when you don't get the cool "MADMAH" guild cape.
6. When you go to look for an apartment you ask "Where is the nearest portal?"
6. Your Grades go down as your online level goes up.
7. You refer to studying all night as tanking.
8. and of course someone who gets great grades is a DPSer.
9. Your first question about the "Atidim" program was "Does WoW run on the laptop?".
10. Your first instinct when you finally receive a good grade is to /dance.

Yellow water in Technion Dorms

All I know about this video, that someone filmed it yesterday in technion dorms, and it is not beer that coming out of the pipe.

Can someone give me more details about this issue ? Anyone heard about this or saw this phenomen ?

I received it from Thalimenel. This was found at the side entrance of Ulmann.
While the picture is regular, the inscription leaves you in bewilderment. Whose bad joke was to write on that sign - "Wild animals" ?..

TCC's response to yesterday's protest

This the e-mail we all received from the head of Taub Computer Center:

שלום רב,

1. אתמול התייצבה במשרדי קבוצה של סטודנטים שהתלוננה על תקלות תקשורת חמורות במעונות.

2. מבדיקה שעשינו התברר, שאחד סטודנטים חיבר ציוד תקשורת לא תיקני וגרם לניתוקים ועומס ברשת.

3. בהמשך לשיחתנו הועלתה טענה לגבי קצבים של תקשורת במעונות שלטענתם לא סבירים.

4. בימים אלו אנחנו משדרגים את ציודי תקשורת כדי לתמוך בקצבי תקשורת גבוהים יותר, בנוסף הכפלנו רוחב פס למעונות בשעות היום ובכ 50% בשעות הלילה.

5. ניתן לפתוח תקלה במערכת HELPDESK ולהעביר את טענותיכם שלא קיבלו מענה לגבי השרות בצורה מרוכזת דרך רכז המעונות.

6. חשוב להבהיר ששרות הניתן במעונות שונה במהותו משרות הניתן ע"י ספק אינטרנט בכך שדיירי המעונות הם חברים ברשת הטכניונית עם זכויות הגישה למחשבים ברשת וגם עם הגבלות על ציודים שניתן לחבר היכולים לגרום לנזק לכם ולחברכם.

7. ברצוני להזכיר שכל מי שמחבר ציוד תקשורת בניגוד לנוהל ובכך פוגע בשירותים הניתנים לחבריו, צפוי לעמוד לדין משמעתי!

So now you got some more information on how and why were the internet problems created. I hope that this will only be the first step towards an understanding between TCC, the "provider" and the dorms students, the "customers". We need to be more organized next time in order to be able to bring all our requests to one representative that will fight for us.

I'm very proud of all the students that moved their asses and came yesterday. I also want to thank those people that can "get to the people" and made a difference, like A*** and S******** ;)

Let's hope this problem will be solved soon. Next fight on the agenda: "Laundry" xD

Video report of TCC meeting

So we, who care, gathered near TCC to demand our internet we pay for, to work well. There was alot of arguing and bullshitting from TCC stuff. They tried to convince us that nothing wrong with i-net and they have nothing to do with it bad quality.And they approved that they limit dorms bandwith. So we coulndt download our stuff from outside world. This is unacceptable. We will not lay our hands down until we receive good internet providing.
